HARC is a nonprofit organization focused on sustainability, and our mission of independent research on issues relating to air, energy and water is more relevant and needed in 2018 than at any other time in our history. With a dedicated team and along with numerous partners, we continue to develop applied research and build a future in which people and nature flourish.
The Galveston Bay Report Card is the first environmental report of its kind in our area. This video is an introduction to the project and discusses the release of GalvBayGrade.org.
HARC and the Galveston Bay Foundation have teamed up to create a user friendly grading system to communicate the health of the bay to the public. HARC’s role in the report card was to analyze existing data sets from state and federal agencies and devise a grading system that describes what those trends mean in a way that is easy for the public to understand.
