Your support will help HARC continue to fulfill its mission.
Houston and surrounding communities are swiftly changing. Through applied research, community engagement and education, HARC seeks to boldly address current issues confronting our economy, society and the natural environment. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, HARC serves as an educational and information resource for the public and private sector. Our work promotes sustainable technologies and policies based on scientific principles.
HARC research depends on government grants and contracts, foundation support, and endowed gifts. HARC seeks corporate donations and individual support to fund green building technologies, outreach, education, and public events. Our LEED Platinum green building serves as a living lab focusing on energy and water efficiency, optimization of facility operations and the application of nature-based infrastructure principals. Our outreach service provides free space for community events and covers expenses for select staff to travel and speak. Our educational opportunities support a developing scientific exploration for high school students and allows for professional development during college through internship programs. Our People and Nature Speaker Series, a biannual event that draws hundreds in attendance, provides a public platform to engage in dialogue on complex sustainability issues.
Help to create a sustainable future for the greater Houston region and beyond — fund our program of work by underwriting a center of research and study, publication, or program. Your tax-deductible donation can be provided on a monthly or annual basis.
We appreciate your support and look forward to sharing our research with you.
