Posting Date:
Thursday, May 26, 2016

The application of combined heat and power (CHP) for industrial applications is proving to be a great opportunity to reduce energy costs, save money and improve the resilience of oil field operations. There is considerable opportunity for the deployment of CHP for oil field sites. The Department of Energy’s Southwest CHP Technical Assistance Partnership (CHP TAP) led a webinar on the opportunities and applications of CHP in the oil field.

Check out the recording here:

The following speakers participated in the webinar:

  • Satish Ravindran, P.E., CEM - Sr. Energy Engineer DOE's Southwest CHP TAP
  • Richard Roby, P.E., PhD - Managing Member, LPP Combustion
  • Chris Broemmelsiek, Vice President Sales & Marketing, LPP Combustion

The CHP TAP can serve as a great resource for facilities considering implementing CHP systems and can help conduct no cost site screenings/analysis. Additional information can be found at our website –
