HARC wins USGBC Texas LEED Project of the Year

On Thursday, October 17th HARC’s building and campus received the LEED Project of the Year at the US Green Building Council’s Texas Chapter Building Energy Summit.

HARC has made significant progress toward becoming the first certified net zero office building in Texas. The building’s photovoltaic plant has generated over 90,000 kWh in 2019, resulting in over 200 Net Zero days so far this year. HARC is also expecting to achieve the annual net zero status in the following weeks.

The 2019 USGBC Texas Building Energy Summit is a forum for building owners and managers, energy and sustainability managers, engineers, federal and state government officials, consultants and other stakeholders focused on energy reduction and smarter technology solutions for buildings.

HARC is the first LEED Platinum certified commercial building in Montgomery County, Texas and is on track to become the first certified net zero energy commercial office building in Texas. Please visit to learn more.
