HARC researchers to present at 2019 USGBC Energy Summit

Dr. Gavin Dillingham and Carlos Gamarra, PE will present at the 2019 USGBC Energy Summit in Houston on October 17.

Dr. Dillingham will moderate the closing keynote that includes the following panelists :
Marissa Aho, AICP, Chief Resilience Officer, City of Houston
James Vasquez, Senior Sales Executive, Enchanted Rock
Cindy Villarreal, AIA. LEED AP, WELL AP, RELi AP, Project Architect, Perkins + Will

This panel will discuss the efficiency-resilience interconnection and the link of energy efficiency and community resilience. Mr. Gamarra will present on behalf of the Department of Energy's Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Partnership that is housed at HARC and will moderate a panel discussion focusing on resilience and smart technologies that will include Ben Edgar of White Harvest and Keith Reihl, PE, CEM. LEED AP.

About the Energy Summit
The 2019 USGBC Texas Building Energy Summit is a forum for building owners/managers, energy and sustainability managers, engineers, federal and state government officials, consultants and other stakeholders focused on energy reduction and smarter technology solutions for buildings. Sessions will cover four tracks: Case Studies, Technology, Optimized Operations, and Managing Your Building.

During the conference's opening keynote Steve Hennigan, President and CEO of Credit Human, will discuss how sustainable design and operations are integrated into the daily operations of a financial institution. The noon keynote will be Mahesh Ramanujam, President and CEO of U.S. Green Building Council and Green Building Certification Inc., who will give his vision for sustainable, reliable and resilient energy systems and how this will contribute to a better quality of life both here and around the globe
