Gavin Dillingham Participates on WBCSD Planning Committee
HARC Research Scientist, Gavin Dillingham, Clean Energy Policy, is participating on the planning committee for the upcoming World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Energy Efficiency in Buildings (EEB) Lab in Houston, TX. The lab concept has been successfully implemented by WBCSD in Asia, Europe and the United States. The EEB Lab is being developed to increase the implementation of energy efficiency projects in Houston. The event will be held October 8th to October 10th and will be a deep-dive workshop that will work to spur the market toward the development and implementation of ambitious, practical strategies for reducing building energy consumption by 30% or more in the Houston market. The lab will bring together key building decision makers and important stakeholders to facilitate dialogue, define actions that need to be taken and get commitments on the subject of energy efficiency in buildings.
Roundtable and panel sessions will include state and local experts discussing ways to increase stakeholder value through energy efficiency; investing and financing energy efficiency in buildings; verifying value and return on investments and the appropriate policies and regulations that need to be in place to promote energy efficiency.
