Dr. Fanxu Meng at LCA XVIII Conference in Fort Collins, CO - September 25th – 27th
Dr. Fanxu Meng, Research Associate with HARC, presented a poster to Compare Distributed Gas-Fired Combined Heat and Power (CHP) versus Natural Gas Combined Cycle (NGCC) via Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) at the LCA XVIII Conference September 25th – 27th. The environmental profile of electricity provided by a gas turbine-based CHP plant compared to a NGCC power plant will be quantified based on an LCA model, when both systems meet the equivalent power and thermal demand of the end user. The process contribution to life cycle emissions will be analyzed.
American Center for Life Cycle Assessment (ACLCA) is organizing the LCA XVIII Conference in Fort Collins, CO, September 25th – 27th, 2018. This conference was the best opportunity for LCA researchers to learn about the state of the art from insights and to network with attendees from across industry, academia, government and NGO.
