The City of Houston partnered with HARC/GTRI to commission the design and an initial look at the feasibility of urban rooftop food production for downtown city-owned properties. A final report was published on November 25, 2013.

A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Texas Environmental Research Consortium was held at Commissioners Court Conference Room, 1001 Preston, 9th Floor, in Houston December 5.

HARC Researchers, Gavin Dillingham and Caroloyn LaFleur, served on the Innovative Water Technology panel at the Eagle Ford Center for Research, Education and Outreach Fall Workshop on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the City of Cotulla Convention Center.

Jennifer Ronk, HARC's Program Director of Environmental Science and Energy Efficiency, provided an update on solar energy and how it can be used in The Woodlands. The lecture was held at the George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library on November 19, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
