Gavin Dillingham provides testimony to the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology - Resiliency: The Electric Grid’s Only Hope

Gavin Dillingham recently testified in front of the US House Committee on Science, Space and Technology on the newly released National Academies of Science report titled “Enhancing the Resilience of the Nation’s Electricity System.” (https://www.nap.edu/catalog/24836/enhancing-the-resilience-of-the-nations-electricity-system) Dr. Dillingham discussed the growing climate risks to the national power grid, particularly in regards to the multitude of extreme weather events that are being experienced in Texas. He also discussed the impacts of Hurricane Harvey, Irma and Maria on our power system and the near and long-term solutions to reduce risk associated with hurricanes.
